Navy Dept., 1873, 3¢ ultramarine, Fine, used to forward a circa 1875 German postal card (20pf with corner damage) originally addressed to Navy Yard, Mare Island, Cal, transiting through New York with red circular PAID ALL, thence to Washington Oct. 23 and then to Brooklyn. A wonderful transiting and usage of a U.S. Official, Foundation certificate (1981) (Scott O37).
