Japan, 1899 Chrysanthemum 10s deep blue (Scott 103), tied by local cancel on SS Yokohama Maru (sunk 1912) ship's menu, bearing violet YOKOHAMA JAPAN 26 9 42 cds and manuscript "Via Siberia", bearing LAUSANNE receiver on reverse (map). A wonderful historical ship item and so very colorful.
