Nova Scotia, 1857, 6d dark green (Scott 5), on neat yellow green envelope, tied by oval grid and used from St. Pierre & Miquelon, bearing manuscript "St. Pierre 10th April 1860", fine strike of two-line PICTOU N.S. SHIP LETTER, also 2 N.S. transits and LOCKES ISLAND MY 5 1860 receiver on reverse. A very rare stamp from most certainly a unique origin, F.-V.F., ex Pratt.
