British Columbia & Vancouver Island, 1869, 25¢ on 3d orange, perf 14 (Scott 11), horizontal sheet wing margin pair, attractive centered blue "35" in grid cancel; couple of nibbed perforation as usual, very rare, Very Fine.

Originally believed to be unique, we have subsequently had reported to us one other pair in a West Coast collection. There are therefore 2 pairs and no larger multiples of either perforation. None were found in any major auction including Dale/Lichtenstein and Wellburn .
