Str. ‘Roman,’ Port Elizabeth, 15th March 1864", forwarded without postal charge to their London correspondent office who then applied Great Britain 1856-58 1d rose-red (strip of three and single), cover bears an unclear marking on front together with MACKIE & Co. LONDON oval handstamp, backstamped small blue LONDON AP 25 64 c.d.s. with Edinburgh next day receiver and endorsed "Port Elizabeth 15 Mch /64 Mackie Dunn & Co. on flap, entire with a couple of fine folds affecting two stamps, scarce., Ex Dillaway. SG GB 40.
