Used to England: 1877 (7 Nov.) single rate cover at the newly increased 6d rate from Elands Post (renamed Seymour in 1883 Stockenstrom Division) to Lynn, England bearing 1871-76 1d carmine-red pair, and 4d dull blue cancelled by double oval ELANDS-POST NO 7 1877 datestamps additionally with faint Cape Town transit, backstamped Lynn receiver of 9 December 1877. Rare and very attractive, ex Dillaway (SG 29,30).

This handstamp was in use at Elands Post for 26 years; the letter being sent via postcart through Alice and Whittlesea to Queenstown, then continuing to Cape Town.
