Steamer W.N. SHERMAN, red double ring oval with center ornament, light but fine strike, on 3¢ red entire bearing manuscript "pr. M.L. Doneghuly" (Milgram 1471).

Steamed on Red & Mississippi Rivers to New Orleans. Handstamp also comes without center ornament. Known used in 1853. No example in the Hugh Feldman Collection .
