Used to Cayuga, Canada: 1852, 3¢ dull red, type I, late, three copies, various margins including sheet margin with 1¢ blue type II, 2 margins, deep color, tied by grids on dark manila envelope (corner reinforced), bearing red ALBION APR 30 N.Y. c.d.s. black arc U. STATES on reverse QUEENSTON MAY 1 1852 transit and another red c.d.s. Lovely cover from obscure NY town to another town in Haldmand Co. The manner in which this rate was paid before the issuance of the 10¢ stamps in 1855 (Scott 11, 7).

NOV 24 Md. c.d.s. to folded letter sheet (missing back side flaps), bearing manuscript, "17" decimes French Calais DEC 2 transit, manuscript "Per Cunard Line", on reverse BOSTON PKT, red British transits and red boxed GENOVA 5 DIC 56 receiver. Rare origin and rarer destination (Scott 12).
