1863, Double rate two copies of the 2¢ black, horizontal bisect in pairs with normal singles, tied by 4-ring target cancels on envelope bearing MILFORD NY OCT 28 c.d.s. "scissors cut at bottom right", P.S.E. Cert. (1994) Foundation Cert (2019) (73c).

Miraculously the left hand "pair on the double rate cover is contiguous with the "pair" on the single rate cover. A reconstruction accompanies. Both are addressed to the "Otsego County Bank Cooperstown NY" and from (most certainly a Mr. H. Scott (one enclosure) who probably pre-bisected a number of bisects for daily mailing.

These covers were discovered as part of the "Cooperstown Bank Find" of 1927 which was documented in Mekeels Weekly, the article accompanies and are specifically mentioned.
