1847, 10¢ black, good to very large margins all around, tied by blue PHILADELPHIA NOV 5 10 c.d.s. on complete folded letter sheet to Lowell, Mass. The cover is addressed to a "Colour Maker" and makes reference to the needed color blue as printed on front, and refers extensively to the cholera epidemic then taking place in Philadelphia, PLUS manuscript "per Bloods Dispatch" on last page, a most interesting use of advertising, extremely fine, P.S.E. Cert. (1990) (Scott 2).
