The President Franklin D. Roosevelt copy of the 1922-25 $5.00 Liberty Large Die Proof (203mm x 157mm) Die Sunk on Card, The proof is backstamped in blue "333289" with pencil notations "332292 - frame" & "332724-picture". It was sold by the Harmer family as a Lot # 27 from the February 4-5 1946 auction, is contained in the original sale folder and includes the original shipping envelope (less a couple of stamps) and a copy of the catalogue. The condition is extremely fine (Scott 573P).

We believe the proof is printed on India mounted on card (.007 thick) then mounted on die sunk large card. The lot is the sequential duplicate to that in the Post Master General's Collection in Washington which also houses a Large Die on India Die Sunk on Card. The FDR Die Proof is larger than either of these.
